International Summer Acadamy of the MDW in Vienna

The International Summer Acadamy is the summer campus of the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. The annual event sees more the 200 students from over 40 nations come together in the Viennese Alsps for 10 days of master classes led by high-calibre instructors.

Decades of consistent development have seen what started as a master class for string players attended by 13 students grow into the legendary summer campus of the mdw – university of music and performing arts vienna and a project that is unparalleled worldwide. In addition to the longstanding courses for solo instruments, chamber music, piano, voice, and composition, the past few years have also included a music outreach component as well as the research conference isascience.

The International Summer Academy of the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna offers six full scholarships for students of Ukrainian Arts Universities which cover travel and accommodation expenses in addition to the isa22 master class participation fees.
