Lecture of Professor Wolfgang Harrer
As part of Professor Wolfgang Harrer's artistic residency, a highly engaging and informative lecture on the history of European music and the tradition of musical interpretation took place on May 9th.
Participants had the opportunity to delve deeply into working with classical scores and the diverse approaches to musical interpretation.
Why were some elements of musical ornamentation included in the score while others were not? How does one work with historical scores, and where can one find answers to the conflicting questions that arise during the preparation of a classical work? Professor Wolfgang Harrer shared his extensive experience and valuable insights into the practice of musical interpretation.
A heartfelt thank you goes to the organizing team and the Mykola Lysenko National Academy of Music in Lviv for preparing this event.
