End of the Immersio Vienna Academy

A year of artistic collaboration, learning and musical excellence concluded with an inspiring final concert.

On 1 July 2026, the National Philharmonic of Ukraine hosted the final concert of the Immersio Vienna Academy, marking the culmination of a series of chamber music masterclasses and an international educational programme that accompanied the entire 162nd concert season.

Throughout the 2025/2026 season, selected young Ukrainian musicians participated free of charge in four intensive chamber music seminars. The programme combined individual lessons, ensemble coaching, lectures and professional discussions, providing participants with comprehensive artistic training while deepening their understanding of the European chamber music tradition.

The Academy was led by the members of TRIO IMMERSIO VIENNA:

🎻 Vira Zhuk – violin
🎹 Mariam Wardzelashvili – piano
🎻 Ofer Kanetti – cello

All three mentors are graduates of the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and the Mozarteum University Salzburg and are internationally recognised performers and educators.

The programme was implemented in partnership with the Youth Academy of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine with the generous support of the Austrian Cooperation Office Lviv and the Ukraine Office Austria of the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs.

This initiative demonstrates how international cultural cooperation can create meaningful educational opportunities, strengthen artistic excellence and foster European collaboration, even in times of extraordinary challenges.

The Director General of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, Mykhailo Shved, noted:

“Cooperation with outstanding European mentors from TRIO IMMERSIO VIENNA and the support of our Austrian partners enabled these young musicians not only to improve their technical skills but also to become part of the European chamber music tradition. I am convinced that many of today’s graduates will soon perform on leading concert stages both in Ukraine and internationally.”

Congratulations to all participants on completing the Academy, and sincere thanks to all mentors, partners and organisers whose dedication made this remarkable international educational project possible.
