At the end of Havryliv's novel "Where is your house, Odysseus?" (Ammann Verlag, 2009), themes such as living and traveling as self-location in a globalizing world, translation as interpretation of the world and the coexistence, opposition, side by side and pastness of cultures are explored discussed.
Tymofiy Havryliv (born 1971 in Ivano-Frankivs’k/USSR), studied German, literature and philosophy. Lives in Lviv/Lemberg (Ukraine) and Vienna. Author of several volumes of poetry, essays, stories, novels, and texts about literature. Translator of Ferdinand Raimund, Johann Nestroy, Joseph Roth and Thomas Bernhard. 1986 first radio reading (poems). 2003–2004 spokesman for the Lviv Association of Ukrainian Writers.
