The programme includes well-known works from the opera and operetta repertoire as well as musical numbers by Ukrainian composers.

The Austrian President Dr. Alexander Van der Bellen has taken over the honorary patronage of the concert.

Like the Vienna Volksoper, the Kyiv National Operetta Theatre is a four-section theater dedicated to music of various genres.

Until a few weeks ago, classical operettas, musicals, show ballets, symphony concerts, operas and salon theatre were performed at the versatile venue.

“Now the theatre is closed because of the war with the Russian Federation. We hear air raids every day, but we believe that the war will end soon and we will open the doors of our beautiful theatre to the public,” says Bogdan Strutynskyi, general and artistic director of the Kyiv National Operetta Theatre.

All artists will perform for free, and the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.
