Dedicated to the 240th anniversary of the birth of the renowned botanist Wilibald Besser.

The II International Scientific Conference “Besser Natural Science Studies,” dedicated to the 240th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding botanist Willibald Besser and the 215th anniversary of the beginning of his scientific and educational activities in Kremenez, will take place on September 24-25, 2024. The event will bring together scientists, educators, and naturalists from different countries who preserve and develop Besser’s legacy. The conference will be an important platform for the exchange of ideas and research in the field of natural sciences.

 

The conference program includes plenary sessions, specialized sections, excursions, and a cultural program that will allow participants to present their scientific achievements and explore the natural treasures of the Kremenez region. Planned activities include visits to eco-tourist routes, the Kremenets Botanical Garden, and the Kremenets Mountains National Park. The scientists will also have the opportunity to engage in discussions that will foster the development of botanical and ecological research.

The conference is supported by numerous Ukrainian and international institutions, including the Kremenets State Humanitarian-Pedagogical Academy named after Taras Shevchenko, the M.G. Kholodny Institute of Botany of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, as well as international partners from Poland and the Austrian Cooperation Office in Lviv.
