Music for a Ukrainian Future II
On two evenings in October, a stage will be given as a sign of togetherness and peace for Ukrainian music and poetry.
Moderation: Irene Suchy
Ukrainian poetry read by Maria Hofstätter.
Compositions by Arvo Pärt, Patricia Kopatchinskaja, Karmella Tsepkolenko.
Thanks to the support of the BMKÖS, the Ukrainian composer Karmella Tsepkolenko was able to compose a piece. It is based on texts by this year's Peace Prize winner of the German Book Trade, Serhij Zadan, who will receive the prestigious prize on October 23.
The ensemble REIHE Zykan +, founded in 2020 under the direction of Michael Mautner, will perform together with Ukrainian musicians, including the singer and violinist Viktor Andriichenko.
Admission: EUR 25.00
The net proceeds of the event will benefit refugees from Ukraine.
