At Stadtkino Wien, the documentary Militantropos will be screened as part of the Europäisches Film Festival, taking place from 19 to 26 February 2026.

The film explores how full-scale war reshapes human existence. It examines how conflict transforms bodies, language, perception, and everyday life. Through observational documentary storytelling, Militantropos reflects on a new wartime anthropology — portraying the “militant human” shaped by prolonged violence and uncertainty.

The screening invites audiences to reflect on war as both an anthropological and cultural experience, and on documentary cinema as a form of testimony.

Premiere in the presence of Yelizaveta Smith (director), Viacheslav Tsvietkov (cameraman) and producers Eugene Rachkovsky and Ralph Wieser.
