Young musicians from Kyiv and Lviv, selected participants of the Immersio Vienna Academy: Ukraine 2025/2026 season, are coming to Vienna! At the C. Bechstein Centrum Vienna, they will take the stage together with their mentors, the musicians of Immersio Vienna, to present the results of months of intensive work with chamber music.

 The gala concert “The Art of Duo” is dedicated to the unique art of musical partnership. The programme features works for violin and piano by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig van Beethoven, Richard Strauss and Grażyna Bacewicz.

Performing are Immersio Vienna musicians Vira Zhuk and Mariam Vardzelashvili, together with Academy participants Savva Zolotarov, Kateryna Dryha, Marija Kriukova, Borys Koblyk and Eva Kulikowska.

The Immersio Vienna Academy: Ukraine was founded in 2025 in partnership with the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, with the support of the OeAD Austrian Cooperation Office in Lviv and Ukraine Office Austria at the Austrian Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs. Throughout the 2025/2026 season, young musicians worked intensively in Kyiv on chamber music repertoire and the distinctive art of performing together as an ensemble.

The Academy goes far beyond conventional music lessons. Its programme combines individual tuition and ensemble work with discussions, lectures and excursions, providing a space for artistic exchange, personal development and an in-depth exploration of the cultural and historical contexts surrounding the repertoire.

For the Austrian Cooperation Office in Lviv, supporting initiatives like this is particularly important: they provide young Ukrainian musicians with opportunities for professional and artistic development while building lasting connections between the cultural communities of Ukraine and Austria. The Vienna concert is a special continuation of the work carried out in Ukraine throughout the season and an opportunity to share its results with Austrian audiences.

Immersio Vienna has performed in more than 35 countries across four continents, appearing at renowned venues including the Musikverein Wien, Wiener Konzerthaus, Flagey in Brussels and the Royal Danish Opera. In 2025, the ensemble established the Immersio Vienna Academy: Ukraine as a new dimension of its artistic and educational work.
