On 17 February 2026 at 18:00, LiterAktiv invites you to a literary evening with acclaimed Ukrainian writer, literary scholar and translator Halyna Kruk.

Halyna Kruk is the author of seven poetry collections, the short story collection Anyone But Me (2021), several audiobooks and five children’s books. Her works have been translated into more than 30 languages. In English, her books include A Crash Course in Molotov Cocktails (2023) and Lost in Living (2024).

She is a finalist of the Griffin Poetry Prize (2024) and the PEN America Award for Poetry in Translation (2025), and a member of Ukrainian PEN.

This evening offers a rare opportunity to hear poetry and prose in the author’s own voice and to reflect on why literature matters in challenging times — how it helps us endure loss, build understanding and sustain hope.
