Monument Day 2022 - - Preservation of cultural heritage in times of war
The Museum of Mining and Gothic Art Leogang is organizing a varied programme on the topic of preserving cultural heritage during the war.
The focus of interest is on the one hand the war in Ukraine and on the other hand the conflict in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
In both armed conflicts, not only are human lives endangered, but valuable cultural assets are also under fire. In order for these to be preserved for posterity, a number of measures to preserve cultural heritage are required. Two top-class speakers will give lectures on this topic: Dr. Svitlana Bilenkova and Univ.-Doz. dr dr h.c. Jasmine Dum-Carrying.
