The XI. International Poetry Festival MERIDIAN CZERNOWITZ will take place ONLINE in 2020!
Live broadcast of the events can be found on the page of Meridian Czernowitz on Facebook.
The festival program includes book presentations, discussions and poetry readings by poets from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Israel and the Ukraine. The main theme of Meridian Czernowitz 2020 is “In the footsteps of Paul Celan”.
Austria is represented at the festival by the writer Richard Wall.
Richard Wall, born 1953, writes poetry, essays & narrative prose. Active as a visual artist in the field of collage, painting and drawing.
Richard Wall has received numerous scholarships from state and cultural institutions in Italy, the Czech Republic, Austria and Ireland as well as Austrian book prizes (Book Prize of the Federal Chancellery 2006 / Book Prize 2009 of the Federal Ministry for Education, Art and Culture). Around twenty book publications, member of the Graz authors' assembly (since 1988), the PODIUM, the artist groups CART & “Sinnenbrand”.
