Performance premiere
On October 3 and 4, the Jam Factory Art present the multidisciplinary performance “Salty Juice of a Ripe Fig” by Crimean artist Daria Lytvynenko, created at our art center as part of the project “After Devastation.”
In collaboration with Austrian sculptor Jürgen Münzer, Daria has developed a spatial collage that combines physical theatre, absurdity, sculptures, masks, as well as documentary and fictional characters. The work explores the cultural and familial heritage of Crimea and highlights how Russian propaganda has used the romanticized image of the peninsula’s southern coast to overwrite local history.
The Black Sea emerges as a living organism, now trapped by militarization.
A story of home — fragmented and transformed, yet still alive in memory.
