A discussion with Andrej Kurkow, Tanja Maljarchuk and Paul Krisai.
With the invasion of Ukraine, Russia’s dictator Vladimir Putin destroyed the European order of the post-1980s era. The price for the Ukrainian fight for freedom is high. How can it continue?
It is the most serious military conflict in Europe for decades, and its consequences are difficult to predict. Russia’s war in Ukraine is also a conflict that divides the world: geopolitically, for example between China and the USA, and ideologically, as the heated debates about military aid for Ukraine in Europe show. But ideology is out of place if you want to understand how this war came about and where it will lead. Renowned experts analyze the background, consequences and the question of whether a mass coup from below or a palace revolt against Vladimir Putin is conceivable in Russia in a precise and understandable way – and what that would mean for Russia, for Europe and for the world.
