Sound Visionaries. Concert of the ensemble Alter Ratio
The concert "Sound Visionaries" is the culmination of the project, which presents and promotes the academic vocal music of contemporary composers among Ukrainian listeners.
The concert will feature the Ukrainian premiere of "Enigma" by Swiss-Austrian composer Beat Furrer. Works by Maksym Kolomiyets, Anna Korsun, Oleksiy Retynsky, Maksym Shalyhin, Steve Reich, and Alfred Schnittke will also be performed.
The listeners can expect a combination of complex vocal and instrumental timbres, modern vocal techniques and visual images, unusual intertwining of voices and instruments.
Vocal ensemble of contemporary music "Alter Ratio"
The ensemble "Alter Ratio" (from Latin - "other thinking") was created in 2010 to promote solo, ensemble and choral works of the XX - XXI centuries. The ensemble is composed of professional performers. Artistic director and conductor of the ensemble - Olga Prykhodko.
The main vocation of the ensemble is the promotion of contemporary academic music of Ukrainian and foreign composers, expanding the boundaries of academic vocal performance practices, acquaintance with non-traditional vocal techniques and stage experience. During its existence, the ensemble has performed more than 50 Ukrainian premieres of works by contemporary European and Ukrainian composers.
The ensemble works closely with various contemporary Ukrainian performers, is a participant in many music festivals and cultural and artistic projects.
NGO "Alter Ratio Art Group"
Alter Ratio Art Group was founded in 2019.
It sees its mission in the promotion of academic vocal music of contemporary Ukrainian and European composers, stimulating the development of professional skills of young Ukrainian musicians and the inclusion of Ukrainian academic vocal music in the contemporary European and world context.
