Austrian cellist, conductor, music teacher and lecturer, Jörg Zwicker founded his first early music ensemble called Musica Antiqua Graz at the age of 16. And in 1992, he founded the world-famous professional baroque orchestra Capella Leopoldina, with which he toured the entire continent. Jörg has been teaching at the University of Music in Graz for almost 30 years, as well as at the Department of Early Music at the Private University of Vienna. Drawing on his 40 years of stage experience, extreme sports and special education (Jörg is also an experienced mental coach), he coaches professional musicians and athletes to achieve peak performance, overcome stage fright and focus.

Jörg Zwicker also conducts master classes throughout Europe, and this time he will come to Kyiv to give his class for our Ukrainian musicians. After the master classes, the maestro will perform a concert together with “Kyivska Camerata”, a unique group where every musician is a virtuoso and a soloist.

At the Bouquet Kyiv Stage 2024 festival, Jörg Zwicker and the Kyiv Camerata will give a concert of early and modern music, drawing numerous parallels between different centuries and European cultural traditions. The works of modern composers are specially selected so that they involve compositional techniques and quotations from early music.
