Jazz Matinee – Energizing Ukraine
An intense and inspiring morning of KIRCH’KLANG: The jazz matinee “Energizing Ukraine” at the Old Post Office in Bad Ischl was a brilliant opening for the new SALON POST – Sound, Word & Encounter format.
The internationally acclaimed ensemble, featuring Johannes Dickbauer (violin), Anton Zhukov (double bass), and Karen Asatrian (piano), captivated the audience with original compositions characterized by great musical diversity and a vibrant, finely tuned interplay. Alternating with the music, Marjana Michailiwna Haponenko’s reading created an open dialogue between word and sound, lending the morning a special depth.
The ensemble is part of the “Energizing Ukraine” initiative, which supports musicians in exile and facilitates artistic encounters across borders.
A strong start for a format that will continue throughout the summer – featuring, among others, Thomas Hampson, Karl Markovics, the Attensam Quartet, and the Energizing Ukraine Ensemble. More information here.
