Austria at the Lviv Quadriennial of Scenography

On September 26, at 12:00, the opening of the exhibition “The Ruin of the Ideal” will take place – scenography and costumes by Matthias Engelmann (Austria) for Richard Wagner’s opera “Lohengrin”. The project explores the theme of the destruction of ideals and at the same time opens up new perspectives for modern scenography. The exhibition will take place in the space “Lviv Opera: Painter” at 6a Kulisha Street.
And on September 27, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, a public conversation with the participants of the Quadriennial will take place at Zenyk Art Gallery. Among the speakers will be Austrian artist Jürgen Münzer, who works at the intersection of sculpture, theater, and spatial collage.
