Book Tour “Art against Artillery”
When weapons speak, do the muses fall silent?
When weapons speak, do the muses fall silent? “Not at all,” is the rebuttal of the conversations with Ukrainian artists from the fields of literature, music, theater, film, painting, sculpture, and photography gathered in “Art against Artillery.” They make it clear that art, especially in times of war, is not a mere embellishment, but a source of resilience and a savior of humanity.
In November, author Olha Volynska will present the book four times:
At the Embassy of Ukraine in Vienna
At the Ukrainian Honorary Consulate in Graz
At the Vienna Book Fair
At the Zenyk Art Gallery in Lviv
On each evening, different experts will be invited to discuss current artistic positions from Ukraine. We look forward to stimulating discussions and your questions.
Registrations for the events are possible via the following forms:
The discussion series “Art against Artillery” is supported by the European Union within the framework of the House of Europe program, the OeAD Cooperation Office Lviv, and the Ukraine Office Austria.
