Europäisches Film Festival 2026
From 19 to 26 February 2026, Vienna will host the Europäisches Film Festival, organised in cooperation with the European cultural network EUNIC. The festival presents a diverse programme of contemporary European cinema addressing pressing social, political, and cultural issues.

Held at Stadtkino Wien, the festival brings together feature films and documentaries from across Europe, offering audiences the opportunity to engage with current debates and cinematic perspectives from different countries.
This year’s programme includes two films with the focus on Ukraine:

Children in the Fire
The Ukrainian contributions highlight the lived experience of war, societal transformation, and the power of cinema as testimony and resilience within the broader European context.
