Join us for the Michael Haneke Retrospective in Kyiv
From 15 to 23 August 2026, Zhovten Cinema in Kyiv is hosting a retrospective dedicated to Michael Haneke, one of the most distinguished and acclaimed directors of contemporary European cinema.
The retrospective was officially opened on 15 August in the presence of the Austrian Ambassador to Ukraine, Robert Müller. The screenings offer a special opportunity to experience Haneke’s works once again on the big screen and to explore the distinctive cinematic language of the Austrian director.
We warmly invite you to join the upcoming screenings and discussions! The retrospective continues until 23 August, leaving a few more days to discover – or rediscover – Michael Haneke’s cinema in Kyiv.
The project was made possible with the support of Visa and Raiffeisen Bank and is organized by Kraj. The initiative provides another valuable space for cultural exchange and dialogue between Austria and Ukraine.
