Jörg Zwicker in Kyiv
In late March – early April, Kyiv once again welcomed a long-standing friend of Ukraine — Austrian conductor and cellist Jörg Zwicker.
During his now traditional visit, he conducted several masterclasses for Ukrainian musicians and performed in concerts that brought audiences together around the refined and expressive world of Baroque music. His presence in Ukraine represents not only artistic exchange but also a meaningful gesture of cultural solidarity.
Jörg Zwicker is an Austrian conductor, cellist, and educator, known for his profound interpretations of Baroque and classical repertoire. Through his pedagogical work, he supports young musicians and fosters dialogue between established European traditions and contemporary contexts. His ongoing engagement in Ukraine reflects a sustained commitment to cultural collaboration.
Special thanks to the partners who made this visit possible:
Open Opera Ukraine, Vere Music Fund, and National Philharmonic of Ukraine.
