Jörg Zwicker in Kyiv
Last week, the National Philharmonic of Ukraine hosted two concerts featuring Austrian conductor and cellist Jörg Zwicker.
The events were made possible with the support of the Austrian Embassy in Ukraine and OPEN OPERA UKRAINE.
On 17 August 2025, Jörg Zwicker as cellist, together with the Baroque consort OverTone, presented the audience with the richness of Vivaldi in all its dimensions.
On 21 August 2025, the concert was officially opened by Daniel Roetlin, Deputy Head of Mission of the Austrian Embassy in Ukraine. The evening became a true dialogue of eras and cultures: Baroque, Late Romanticism, and Modernism merged into a unique soundscape on the stage of the National Philharmonic. Under the baton of Jörg Zwicker, the National Ensemble of Soloists Kyiv Camerata offered a fresh interpretation of well-known works.
