Opening of the exhibition “Design in Wartime”
You are warmly invited to the opening of the exhibition and book presentation “Design in Wartime.”
The exhibition features 19 projects by Ukrainian and Austrian students of architecture and design, addressing the spatial, social, and cultural challenges of living in times of war. At its core lies the question of how architecture and design respond to threat, destruction, and uncertainty — and how they can create spaces of protection, solidarity, and hope.
The presented works explore new spatial strategies for survival and togetherness, from temporary shelters to reimagined urban infrastructures, and reflect a long-standing Austrian–Ukrainian academic collaboration.
