Registration for the School of Pain Management
Registration for the Ukrainian-Austrian School of Pain Management is open.
On January 21–23, 2026, the Ukrainian-Austrian School of Pain Management will be held in Lviv – an educational initiative aimed at improving the clinical competence of practicing physicians in pain management, taking into account the principles of evidence-based medicine and best international practices.
The training is aimed at physicians:
☑️physical and rehabilitation medicine
☑️anesthesiology
☑️neurology
☑️psychotherapy
The goal of the program is to form basic clinical competence in pain management with an emphasis on all types of chronic pain after trauma.
The curriculum combines theoretical training and practical formats.
📍On January 21–22, theoretical classes and practical master classes are planned at the Lviv National Medical University named after Danylo Halytsky – LNMU
📍On January 23, theoretical lectures and an excursion from the Superhumans Center team will take place.
Lecturers are Ukrainian and Austrian specialists with many years of clinical and scientific experience:
Burkhard Gustorff – Doctor, DEAA, Head of the Department of Anesthesiology, Intensive Care and Pain Medicine of the Ottakring Clinic, Professor at the Sigmund Freud Private University Sigmund Freud PrivatUniversität Wien (Vienna, Austria);
Tetiana Negrych – Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Clinic of Neurology and Neurosurgery of the University Hospital of the Lviv National Medical University named after Danylo Halytsky, Expert of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine;
Myroslav Bozhenko – Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor of the Department of Neurology of the Lviv National Medical University named after Danylo Halytskyi, member of professional international and national associations for the study of pain;
Myroslava Dzis — Doctor of Philosophy, Assistant Professor of the Department of Psychiatry, Psychology and Sexology of Danylo Halytskyi LNMU, member of the National Association of Sexology and Sexual Medicine;
Yaroslav Shpylyovy — Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Psychiatry, Psychology and Sexology of Danylo Halytskyi LNMU;
Andriy Yatskevich — Candidate of Medical Sciences, Head of the Department of Traumatology, Orthopedics and Military Field Surgery of Danylo Halytskyi LNMU, member of the Association of Orthopedic Traumatologists of Ukraine;
Volodymyr Aleynyk, Khrystyna Vuytsyk, Vitaliy Marchenko, Volodymyr Lykhach — specialists of the Superhumans Center.
The course languages are Ukrainian and English (with translation).

The event is organized by the Danylo Halytsky Medical University of Lviv and the All-Ukrainian Center for War Trauma Superhumans with the support of the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, the Office of the Federal Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection at the Embassy of Austria in Kyiv, the Federal Ministry for Women, Science and Research, the Sigmund Freud Private University Vienna, the Ottakring Clinic in Vienna, the Erste Foundation, the Rotary Club Vienna-Schönbrunn, the OeAD Cooperation Office Lviv and other partners.
