Ukrainian Display at the Austrian National Library
It’s official! 42 remarkable books have made their way to Vienna to become part of the Ukrainian stand at the Austrian National Library.
This multilingual collection will introduce Austrians to Ukrainian history, culture, and literature — and offer comfort to Ukrainians through the familiarity of their native language.
The collection in numbers:
🔵 19 English, German, and bilingual editions
🟡 4 books on Ukraine during WWII and the Holodomor
🔵 4 unique publications from the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory
🟡 3 poetry collections
🔵 1 exclusive sheet music edition by Mykola Leontovych
🟡 1 graphic novel based on a work by Ivan Franko
The selection was curated jointly by the Austrian Cultural Forum in Kyiv and the Austrian Cooperation Office in Lviv, with recommendations from the Embassy of Ukraine in Austria.
