UKRAINOMANIA – Revue of a Life
This is an international revue theater production that oscillates between gallows humor and sorrow, offering a dialogue between East and West, Vienna and Lviv.
Based on the works of Austrian writer Joseph Roth, the production tells the story of his life, his travels, and his perspective on the world – including his journey to what is now Western Ukraine in the 1920s.
The production is far more than a historical retrospective: it is a revue against war, gloom, and despair, populated by survivors and “hotel patriots,” and blends ironic lightness with profound emotions.
