This book is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of railway communication in Galicia, which connected Lviv, Kraków, and Vienna, and was the first railway on the territory of present-day Ukraine (in Russian-controlled Ukraine, the first railway line was built five years later).

The anthology contains works by 27 Ukrainian, German-language, and Polish writers, covering over a century (among the authors are Ivan Franko, Joseph Roth, Julian Tuwim, Franz Kafka, Bohdan-Ihor Antonych, Natalka Bilotserkivets, Ivan Malkovych, Viktor Neborak, Marianna Kiyanovska, Serhiy Zhadan, and others).
