Viennese Fin-de-Siècle (in Ukrainian)

Yet none of the books or articles published compares in academic weight to Carl Schorske’s seminal work. Written nearly forty years ago, it remains unrivaled not only in its field—the combination of high intellectual standards with an engaging, almost literary narrative has made it a model for writing the history of other European cities, and more broadly, for the genre of historical cultural studies in general. One can only wish that one day a historian will emerge capable of writing such a book about the Lviv fin-de-siècle.
