A Life of Desires (in Ukrainian)

Imagine that your deepest desires begin to come true — your most secret, dark wishes, ones you didn’t even know you had. This is what happens to Jonas, the protagonist of the novel, when one day a mysterious stranger offers to grant him three wishes. Jonas — a married man, father of two, employee at an advertising agency, and a passionate lover outside his marriage — accepts the offer and plunges into the game. What does Jonas really desire? Or perhaps the night knows more about his wishes than he does himself? “His life seemed to speed up, only to suddenly stop and gently allow him to experience something significant. Soon, he was once again living as if in front of a camera — fast, but not without pain.”
