Anthology of Mykola Khvylovy’s works
The anthology of Mykola Khvylovy's works in German translation edited by Alla Paslavska and Alois Voldan, to be published by Wieser Publishing House (Klagenfurt), is a unique cultural project that opens up one of the key Ukrainian modernists to the European reader.
The publication is distinguished by its carefully thought-out design: modern layout is harmoniously combined with graphic accents that refer to the aesthetics of the avant-garde of the early 20th century. A special role is played by the illustrations by Sofia Kupriyanova, which give the texts new visual meanings and create a dialogue between literature and art.
This is not only a book, but also a work of art that has a symbolic meaning – the return of the voice of the Ukrainian writer to the European context, the restoration of historical justice and the expansion of the space for cultural dialogue.
Our Bureau has joined in supporting the publication and we are looking forward to finally get the hard copy of the book.
