Lecture: “Ukrainian Musicians – Victims of Stalinism”

A lecture titled “Ukrainian Musicians – Victims of Stalinism” was recently held at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. Musicologist Prof. Liubov Kiyanovska spoke about outstanding Ukrainian composers and musicians of the second half of the 20th century who faced persecution under the Stalinist regime.

Following the lecture, opera singer Zoryana Kushpler performed songs by some of these composers, accompanied by pianist Iryna Nikolaieva.
