Paul Celan's volume of poems Schneepart, compiled by the author himself, was published one year after his tragic death and is thus a publication from his estate.

It is Celan's most reticent poetic book, one that places special demands on its readers. These poems are an intertextual dialogue with current political events, historical and cultural phenomena, and the mysteries of the universe. The interpretation of these "particles of reality" is also complicated by the extreme density of the poet's imagery, so that the volume "Snow Part" can be considered the culmination of Celan's hermetic oeuvre. The book is illustrated with Helga von Loewenich’s picture “Schneepart” for Paul Celan’s book of poems of the same name (pastels on handmade blue Ingres paper, 30 x 24 cm, 2019).
