The Edge of the World (in Ukrainian)
An insurance company employee stages his own death using a tragic accident in order to disappear.
He mentally rewinds his life once more: his childhood, stubborn efforts to be no worse than his talented brother, his parents’ divorce, and repeated failed attempts to rise above mediocrity. Suddenly, new tempting opportunities arise — he can start over with a clean slate. Is it possible to completely break away from one’s previous life? Is it possible to escape everyday reality forever? Is it possible to become someone else? All these questions are woven into a tense narrative that balances on the edge of life and death, reality and unreality. Fans of Borges and Márquez will greatly enjoy this novel by the young author.
