III Austrian-Ukrainian Translation Workshop for Theatre includes an online-meeting with Volker Schmidt, the author of the play "djihad", a panel discussion and an express performance. The play "djihad" reflects three different but at the same time oddly connected women's fates. You can enjoy a live-broadcast of the events on the Facebook-page of the Austrian Centre.

On the second day there would be a lecture by Alla Rybikowa, translator and director of the National Lesia Ukrainka Theatre of Russian Drama in Kyiv, on the subject of "Modern Austrian Women's Drama". A panel discussion and an express performance of the play are also planned.

This translation and theatre project combines creative efforts of representatives from 4 Ukrainian cities: Zhytomyr, Rivne, Cherkasy and Kyiv. An important aspect of work is the direct communication and discussion of translation team with the author and actors, which would enable to take into account the features of a stage performance of a literary work to the fullest extent.
